community guidelines

terrain is for

• real practitioners and real spaces, described by the people they belong to.
• consent-first presence — you put yourself on the map; nobody puts you there.
• pointing people to where practice lives: your space, your community, your links.

terrain is not for

• profiles of other people without their consent, or impersonation of any kind.
• spaces you don't actually represent. (spaces imported by the terrain team are explicitly marked unclaimed and can be claimed by their real owners.)
• commercial spam, link farming, or SEO bait.
• harassment, hate, or threats — anywhere, including images.
• content unrelated to movement practice.
• precise location details about a person — in any field. terrain shows practitioners at city/area level on purpose; don't undo that in free text, yours or anyone else's.

how reports work

every profile can be reported by anyone, no account needed. the terrain team reviews reports reactively — there is no proactive surveillance and no verification system; the directory stays honest because its people do. when a report is upheld, the profile or its images are unpublished or removed and the owner is notified with the reason. these guidelines are part of the terms of service.
