terms of service

the short version: your profiles are yours, terrain just shows them on a map. be honest, only list yourself or spaces you actually represent, and you can leave — completely — whenever you want.

what terrain is

terrain.movmnt is a public discovery directory for movement practitioners and spaces — a map and a list, not a social network. contact happens through the links owners publish; terrain is the index of a relationship, not its home. it is operated by [operator name and address — M5 gate].

your account

your email is your account — there is no password, and signing in for the first time is what creates it. one account belongs to one human. you must be at least 16 years old to create an account [working number — confirm against the launch jurisdiction]. by requesting a sign-in link you accept these terms and the privacy policy.

your content stays yours

everything you publish on a profile — names, descriptions, images, links — remains yours. you grant terrain a non-exclusive, revocable licence to display it on terrain's surfaces: the map, the directory, profile pages, and terrain's machine-readable discovery endpoints. the licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

search engines, honestly

you choose whether each profile may be indexed by search engines. that toggle controls terrain's signals — a noindex header and absence from our sitemap — and search engines respect it going forward. it cannot erase copies or caches that third parties made while a page was public. we'd rather tell you that here than let you find out later.

what profiles are for

terrain is consent-first: create a practitioner profile only for yourself, and space profiles only for venues or communities you legitimately represent. the one exception is a space imported by the terrain team as explicitly unclaimed, which its real owner can claim at any time. the community guidelines are part of these terms.

moderation

terrain does not verify profiles and does not proactively police them. anyone can report a profile; the terrain team reviews reports and may unpublish or remove content or accounts that break these terms or the guidelines. owners are notified when that happens.

leaving

you can delete your account at any time. deletion permanently removes your account, your profiles, and your images within 30 days — true erasure, not hiding. anonymous aggregate statistics contain nothing about you to begin with, so they are unaffected.

what terrain doesn't promise

profile content is owner-provided and unverified — terrain makes no promises about its accuracy, and is not a party to anything that happens when you contact someone or show up somewhere. the service is provided as-is, without warranty.
